i was trying to hit this tricky show at granada tonight, but i actually forgot about it until just now. i may still go, but i like to plan these things in advance. i saw tricky open for tool (yeah) about 7 years ago, and though i missed most of his set and i was about 500 rows back, it was pretty badass. i never got into his solo stuff, but massive attack changed the game. a blogger over at wsjr draws a pretty logical line from what massive attack was doing in the early 90's to american hip-hop and all the way up to today's grime scene. it's an intelligent point that i hadn't considered before. prince william [dallas' best] opens.
maybe i'll take down this bottle of artessa and get a cab. or maybe i'll just take down this bottle of artessa and put on blue lines.
