wake with a start

how was the lcd soundsystem show? perfect and messy and blurry and warm and friendly and not loud enough and kinda dance-y but also kinda slow and rock-y. they didn't play enough of the new songs (drunk girls, pow pow, i can change), but the old songs they played (yeah) absolutely crushed. but what a buzzkill that set closer (new york i love you but you're bringing me down) was. we're in dallas. and it's 2010. that shit doesn't translate. "r.i.p. my boner."

i was with the people i wanted to be with but didn't see the people i wanted to see. and i didn't have that moment of sentimental emotional catharsis that i so badly wanted. but maybe that says more about me than it does about the show. give me [take me] home. i woulda been like nelson muntz crying when andy williams played moon river on the third encore in branson. especially under the circumstances.

still you should not forget yeah don't forget the things that we laughed about.

superbligged got it right.
