
i just read a blurb about 500 days of summer that described the zooey deschanel character as "the kind of doggedly eccentric and self-absorbed young person that only indie record store clerks and insecure grad students fall for."
while i think that's a fair criticism, it seems to lack a certain empathy. it may be the mature perspective, but i think it's disingenuous to act like you can't relate.
